Alcabideche is a small town on the north of Cascais, conveniently close to the highway A5. According to some sources, the name of the city is derived from the Arabic “al-kabdak”, which means “fountain”. Alcabideche is today not only a beautiful city with unique old monuments, but also one of the largest shopping centers in the region. Here you’ll find many new buildings, and the prices are much lower than in neighboring Cascais and Estoril.
